Let us remember that the bible is written in different time and different culture. Let us not interpret the bible in our modern context for it will only lead us to nowhere. The Bible is not an ordinary book and we should not read it the way we read newspapers.
Mt 13:55 This is the carpenter’s son, surely? Is not his mother the woman called Mary, and his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Jude?

The word brothers or brethren in Jewish context refers to male relatives and not blood brothers. If those men are really blood brothers of Jesus and sons of Mary, the correct statement would be “Your mother and your mother’s sons are here”. In the presence of Mary, this is should be the right way of saying in Jewish context for they give honor to their mother.

Notwithstanding his condemnation, and the prudent advice of his study friend St. Ambrose to submit, Bonosus continued to exercise the episcopal functions, to consecrate bishops and ordain priests. According to two letters of Pope Innocent I, one to Martian of Naïssa in 409 and the other to the bishops of Macedonia in 414, those ordained by Bonosus before his condemnation were to be received in the Church without a new ordination, those ordained since Bonosus’s condemnation, especially if they had themselves sought to be ordained by him, were to be deprived of their dignity. As Innocent speaks of Bonosus as no longer living, we may infer that he died at the end of the fourth, or the beginning of the fifth century. The baptism conferred by the his followers, the Bonosians, was by some declared valid and by others invalid.
Whether, besides denying Mary’s perpetual virginity, Bonosus also denied Christ’s divinity cannot be determined with certainty, but it is certain that the Bonosians, to whom we find references in the councils and in ecclesiastical writers up to the seventh century, denied this dogma. On this point they were at one with the Photinians. As a consequence, they affirmed the purely adoptive divine filiation of Christ. However, they differed from the Adoptionists in rejecting all natural sonship, whereas the Adoptionists, distinguishing in Christ the God and the man, attributed to the former a natural, and to the latter an adoptive sonship.

Notice that these 4 men (James, Joses (Joseph), Simon, Jude) are described as brothers of Jesus NOT the sons of Mary and Joseph. It was the usual respectful way to identify someone by their parentage not by their siblings. The way that these 4 men are described is more compatible with them being close relatives of Jesus and not uterine brothers. It was common in the Old Testament to label a relative as a brother or sister even if they were cousins, nephews, or uncles.
In fact in Matthew and Mark ANOTHER woman named Mary is identified as the Mother of James and Joseph:
Mat 27:56: “Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of
Zebedee’s children.”
Mar 15:40: There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
In Luke’s gospel the parrallel verse says:
Luk 24:10: It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women that were] with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
In John the paralell passage says:
John 19:25: Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the [wife] of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
Comparing these we discover that the mother of Zebedee’s sons (James and John) was named Salome and was the Blessed Virgin Mary’s sister. There was another Mary who was the mother of the other Apostle James (and of Joses, the brother of Jesus) who was married to Cleophas.
In Matthew 10:3, Mark 2:14 & 3:18, Luke 6:15, and Acts 1:13, that same Apostle James is identified as the son of Alphaeus which is the Greek form of the semitic name Cleophas.
And the early Church historian Hegesippus (2nd century) who lived in Israel identified the brother of Jesus named Jude as Jesus’ cousin (Greek: anepsios) the son of Cleophas.
So based on the Bible and on very early testimony the brothers of Jesus were close relatives but not uterine (biological) brothers.

Did you study semetic aramaic and hebrew? or shall we say a little history on people of the time of Jesus?
If not do not make any judgment regarding the issue on Jesus’ biological brethren.
You just showing your ignorance to the whole world po kuya..^_^
If you read the gospels you’ll find that those names that was allegedly brothers of Jesus was son of OTHER MARY..
You cannot prove to me that THEY ARE THE SONS OF MARY AND JOSEPH…
And Simon was OLDER than Jesus. and Jesus is the FIRSTBORN OF MARY…

2. There was a man called Joseph, who lived in the town of Bethlehem, a
Jewish town that was the home of King David. He had learned wisdom and
the skill of carpentry. Joseph was married in the eyes of God, and his wife had
given him sons and daughters: four boys called Judas, Justus, Jacob and
Simeon, and two girls called Lysia and Lydia. His wife died when Jacob was
quite small. He was a righteous man who praised God in all things and he
worked with his two sons at his trade, which provided them with a living
according to the law of Moses. And it was to this man, my human father, that
my mother Mary was betrothed.
3. When my father Joseph became a widow, Mary, my mother for her part, she
of all good and blessed ways, was in the temple of God serving Him in purity.
She was twelve years old and had spent three years with her parents and nine
years in the temple of the Lord. When the priests saw that she lived modestly
and in the fear of the Lord, they said, “Let us find a good man and betroth her
to him until it is time for her to marry lest we allow the custom of women to
happen to her in the temple, for it would be very sinful of us.”
4. They then summoned the tribe of Juda and selected from it twelve men in
accordance with the number of tribes in Israel. The choice fell upon that
worthy elder, my human father Joseph. The priests told my mother to
accompany Joseph and remain obedient to him until the wedding. Joseph took
Mary home, where she found Jacob a poor orphan and set about caring for
him. And so she came to be called ‘mother of Jacob’. After Joseph had installed
her in his house, he went about his business as a carpenter. Mary spent two
years in his house until the good time.
5 In the fourteenth year of her life I came of my own accord. I came intoexistence inside her, I the living Jesus, your life. After Mary had been pregnant
for three months, the innocent Joseph returned home from the place where he
did his carpentry and found his wife pregnant. Troubled and afraid, he decided
to put her away secretly. He was so distressed that he neither ate nor drank.
6. In the middle of the night Gabriel, the archangel of joy, came to him in a
vision, in accordance with the instructions of my good Father. He said to him,
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary for your wife. The child
she will bear is from a Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son whom you will
call Jesus. He is the one who will rule all nations with a rod of iron.” The angel
then left Joseph, who arose from his sleep and did as he had been instructed by
the angel of the Lord. He took Mary for his wife.
