  1. Say what???? A little sleight of hand there to prove your point, it looks like. . .

It’s commonly accepted that Jesus was born in 2 BC, but let’s stick with your claim of year 1 for the purpose of discussion. Using your calendar converter, we see that the beginning of the year (1 Nisan) was on March 13. I prefer http://www.abdicate.net/cal.aspx, because it lets you do earlier dates. All of this had to happen in the year 1 BC if you assume Jesus was born in 1 AD. in 1 BC, beginning of the year (1 Nisan) was on March 23

We know that Zachariah saw the angel during his cycle in the temple. He is the 8th group, so his cycle would have been from July 13 to July 27. This is when Zachariah talked to the angel. You made a circular logical error when you used the Gregorian converter to place August into Elul, and then claim that Elul was in Sept-Oct. (Elul in the year -1 was from 18 Aug to 16 Sep).

So Zachariah leaves the temple on July 27, and presumably shortly thereafter Elizabeth became pregnant. This would place the birth of John the Baptist In early May. We know john is 6 months older than Jesus from Luke 1:36, so Jesus would have been born in late October or Early November. This of course supposes that everything happened with a certain amount of immediacy. If not, then you can slip a couple of weeks, and end up with Jesus’ birth on the 25th of Kislev – the beginning of the Festival of lights.

We are also told that the shepherds were tending their flocks in the pasture. Not in December they weren’t. The time for pasture would have been earlier in the year.

There is no way that Jesus was born on Dec 25, and your proof has a serious logical inconsistency.
